Prayer for God's Blessing on Saint Andrew Academy

O Lord Jesus Christ our Savior, the Wisdom, Word and Power of God, true Light from the True Light - Who illumines every human being who believes in Thee, it was Thou Who didst command Thy disciples saying, "Let the children come to Me, for to such belong the Kingdom of God" and it was Thou who didst say, "Whoever receives one such child in My Name receives Me; but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea."

We thank Thee for the gift of the children of our parish, and with Thy help we embrace the sacred responsibility for their care. Send down the grace of Thy Holy Spirit upon us to make us adequate for the continuation of this great work. Steady us in our unwavering commitment, that we might not falter when faced with adversity. Enable us to run the race with endurance both in our joy and commitment.

Protect us from the many temptations that encircle us as we negotiate the Orthodox Christian education of our children. Keep far from us, O Lord, the complaining of the ancient Hebrews in the wilderness that so sorely grieved Thee and banned them from the Promised Land. Inspire us to expect constant challenges in so great a task as the proper upbringing of our youth, and to greet these challenges with faith, devotion, creativity, and calm.

As we nourish our youth grant also that the sense of community, mutual responsibility, and love might grow between all who are co-laboring, especially between our Headmaster, faculty, staff, parents, and supporters.

We sincerely thank Thee, gracious Lord, for providing us all the resources we have needed in these first years—and do now, O Lord, open the windows of heaven in Thy great generosity and provide us in our need all the resources we need to continue and expand the St. Andrew Academy.

Give to St. Andrew Academy, O Lord, Thy blessing so that in all things needful we might abound and be wholly Thine and bring honor to Thine All-Holy Name, together with that of Thine Unoriginate Father, and Thine All-Holy, Good and Life-Giving Spirit, now and ever, unto ages of ages. Amen.

Saint Andrew Academy exists to serve families seeking an education that is faithful, flexible, and rooted in the life of the Orthodox Church. In a time of cultural confusion and fragmentation, we offer a clear and time-tested path: the union of classical learning and Orthodox Christian formation.

Our Mission

          Cultivating love, wisdom and joy!

Since our founding in 2020, Saint Andrew Academy has sought to serve the Holy Trinity, under the guidance of the Orthodox Church, by providing an excellent classical Christian education that forms students to cultivate their God-given intellectual, spiritual, and physical gifts.

We seek to cultivate in every student:

  • A love of God and neighbor
  • A commitment to truth, goodness, and beauty
  • The wisdom to think clearly and live faithfully

Education, for us, is not merely preparation for life—it is an offering to God, a participation in the life of Christ, and a path toward holiness.

Our Distinctives

Our guiding motto is: Agape, Sophia, Chara

These virtues summarize the kind of people we seek to form.

Agape (Love) — because the love of God and the love of neighbor stand as the highest calling of the Christian life, ordering all things toward communion with Him and with one another.

Sophia (Wisdom) — because the pursuit of truth, rightly understood, leads the soul into discernment, humility, and a life aligned with what is good and true.

Chara (Joy) — because true joy is the fruit of a life rooted in Christ, arising not from circumstance, but from abiding in His presence.

We stand in the tradition of classical education that has been “baptized and transfigured” in Christ—bringing together the best of the Greco-Roman inheritance and the fullness of Christian truth.

Students are formed through:

  • The liberal arts (grammar, logic, rhetoric, mathematics, science, and music)
  • Close reading of great texts from both Eastern and Western traditions
  • Training in clear thinking, articulate speech, and persuasive writing

This education shapes not only what students know, but who they become—cultivating wisdom, virtue, joy, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our Academy is deeply rooted in the worship and rhythm of the Orthodox Church. Students are formed not only within the classroom, but through active participation in the life of the Church:

  • Daily Orthros (morning prayer) and regular attendance at services
  • Study of Holy Scripture and the lives of the saints
  • Instruction in hymnography, liturgical arts, and sacred tradition
  • A school calendar ordered according to the life of the Church

Faith is not treated as a subject among others, but as the very foundation and context of all learning.

The Academy's Liturgical Life

Christian Education

Formation of the
Whole Person

Their minds are trained toward intellectual clarity, their consciences sharpened in moral discernment, and their souls nurtured toward spiritual maturity.
